Move Your Feet Virtual Challenge

We're Challenging you to Move Your Feet EVERYDAY during the month of November! Are you up for the challenge? If so, sign up for the Move Your Feet Virtual Challenge.

What is a Virtual Challenge?

A Virtual Challenge is one that you complete on your own time, on your own schedule. For this event, walk, run, or move your feet for at least one mile each day, then log your activity on your Virtual Challenge results page. Each registrant will be given a results page where you log your miles, earn milestone badges, and see your progress through the month of November.

What do I get for participating in the Virtual Challenge?

You get this incredible pair of socks! We'll have them available for you at the regular Dash Packet Pickup, and if you're not signed up for the in-person Dash, we'll mail them to you. Plus, you'll have a log of your miles for the month of November, including milestones you've reached, a digital bib and digital finishers certificate, but best of all you get the satisfaction of knowing that you moved your feet so others can eat.

Are there team options?

Yes! We've added a Corporate Team Option to the Virtual Challenge, and we would love for your office, business, or other group to take part! 

Payment information for teams: The person who creates the team will be charged $100, which will cover up to 5 people on the team.  EVERYONE who registers under your team (after the initial member) will be charged $0. On or after 11/10/22, the team captain will be invoiced $20 per person on their team ABOVE the initial 5. For instance, if you have 15 people on your team, the team captain will pay $100 when creating the team, then around November 10, the captain will receive an invoice for 10x$20=$200 for the additional 10 people.

It is very important for each person that is going to participate to register themselves for the event, under their own Runsignup account/profile to make logging miles easy.

To Create a team:

  • Go to https://runsignup.com/Race/Register/?raceId=14107 and start the registration process. Under the event selection, select the LAST event- the Move Your Feet Virtual Challenge.
  • When you get to the Team Challenge page, click on Create a New Team and select Corporate Virtual Challenge from the dropdown menu.
  • Name your team and create a password.
  • Complete the registration process for yourself, and then pass along your team name and password to your other teammates that you want to join.

Subsequent Teammates:

  • Go to https://runsignup.com/Race/Register/?raceId=14107 and start the registration process. Under the event selection, select the LAST event- the Move Your Feet Virtual Challenge.
  • When you get to the Team Challenge page, click on Join an Existing Team Challenge and select Your Team Name under the subheading Corporate Virtual Challenge from the dropdown menu.
  • Enter the password set by your team captain.
  • Complete the registration process for yourself.

How do I log my miles?

You will be logging your miles directly into the RunSignUp System.  You will get an email with instructions for you to upload directly.  If you do not get the email, you can follow the below instructions. You will not be able to enter data until November 1.  If you are having any trouble, please contact: info@blueridgeracing.net

To log through your profile, follow these instructions:
Navigate to your RunSignup profile by selecting the Profile Icon at the top right hand corner
Under your Upcoming Events > Select Submit Virtual Results
Enter in your Activity type, distance, and time
Select Submit Time

To log through the website, follow these instructions:
Log into RunSignup first. If you are not logged in, you will not be able to post results. If you were already logged in and having trouble, try logging out of RunSignup and then logging back in again. If you forgot your password, you can have it reset: https://runsignup.com/Login.
Go to "Participant Tracking" on the main page, search for your name and click "More Details."
This will bring you to your information. You can then click on "Submit Virtual Results."
You MUST enter the Date and Distance for your run or walk. You may enter the time if you wish. The comment box is optional and is for your reference only. We will not be reviewing the info in that field.
If you had multiple workouts that day, you can enter each new run/walk by clicking "Add Another Activity" button. If you do 2 runs/walks in 1 day, you can add them together or separately, whichever you prefer. You can update your time and miles daily or every other day, or once a week, whatever you prefer.
Do not forget to hit submit results when you are done.
