The Atlantic Union Bank Drumstick DASH is sure to get you into a thankful spirit as you and your family "move your feet so others can eat". This year, the Rescue Mission will provide more than 250,000 meals to homeless and hungry families. Enjoy the music along our USA Track & Field certified route as the Drumstick DASH provides a fun, family-friendly, rain or shine Thanksgiving morning event.
Our scenic route is certified by USA Track & Field. It winds through downtown Roanoke starting at Williamson and Franklin Roads, ending on the historic Roanoke City Market, and designed to insure maximum ease and safety on race/walk day. For route details and a map visit drumstickdash.net
The award ceremony begins at 10:00 am on the Roanoke City Farmer’s Market. Awards will go to the top three overall runners, male, female, top three in Master’s Division (ages 40 and over), male and female, and top 3 male and female in each age group (one award per person). Age groups based on your age as of November 28.
Fleet Feet is offering two programs this Fall to prepare runners and walkers for the Union Drumstick Dash 5K. The No Boundaries Path to 5K Running and Walking Programs are 12-week programs sponsored by New Balance designed to slowly progress participants up to the 5K distance. The programs include group workouts with experienced mentors, educational clinics, a 12-week training plan, weekly newsletters and so much more!
